Pilates Mat Level I
This 20 hour course includes 3 online modules and a 2-day practical workshop. This course is the first step to prepare the instructor to teach the original mat exercises developed by Joseph H. Pilates. Participants will learn how to properly align the body in any body position and will leave with an understanding of how and when to modify or progress the exercises for the general population. This course includes a practical exam and an online written exam. This is the first course required toward full certification through Phi Pilates.
Pre-requisites: College level anatomy or fitness certification.

Pilates Mat Level II
This 10 hour course includes 3 online modules and a 1-day practical workshop. Mat II will lay the foundation for critical thinking for the mat Pilates instructor. Less emphasis is placed on the performance of advanced level exercises and more emphasis is placed on preparing to handle the difficult participant. Learn to develop a program that will meet client goals, adjust to special needs, mix advanced and beginner students, and some new challenging exercises. This course includes an online written exam and is the second step toward full certification through Phi Pilates.

Pilates Mat with Props
This 8 hour course teaches choreography that simulates Pilates equipment exercises using the stability ball, ring and foam roller. These exercises are designed for group mat work, personal training, or rehabilitation and will provide many creative ideas for modification and progression of traditional mat exercises.

Reformer Foundations I
This course has been designed to teach the experienced Pilates mat instructor the basic foundations of the Reformer apparatus. Participants will be given an introduction to the Reformer that includes proper use and maintenance of the equipment. Learn how to apply alignment and exercise modifications learned in Mat Level I to the new exercises demonstrated in this course. Student attending this course will be required to present Pilates mat exercises to the group and must have working knowledge of anatomy in relation to Pilates exercises. A practical and written exam will be included.
Recommended Experience: PHI Pilates Mat Level 1. We will also accept an approved Pilates mat course plus completion of the PHI Pilates on-line Intro To Pilates Anatomy course or Intro To Pilates Mat Home Study.

Reformer Foundations II
This course is perfect for the Pilates instructor who has been teaching the Reformer using the knowledge gained in Reformer Foundations I. It is ideal for anyone who teaches group reformer classes or has reformer personal training clientele. Intermediate to Advanced Reformer exercises will be demonstrated in this course that will also teach participants how to evaluate clientele’s posture and prescribe proper Reformer exercises based on this assessment. This course will emphasize practical teaching skills. Students will be evaluated by the PHI Pilates specialist throughout the weekend. A practical and written exam will be included.

Tower/Cadillac Course
This 1-day workshop is ideal for the experienced Pilates instructor. It has been designed for use with either the Cadillac (Trapeze Table), the wall unit, or the tower attachment on the Reformer. The choreography of the original Tower exercise protocols is include with new, creative Pilates exercises. Teaching drills will be performed with feedback given by the PHI Pilates specialist. This course can be combined with another 1-day course for two day training at your facility! There is no manual fee for this course.
Prerequisites: PHI Pilates Mat Level 1. We will also accept an approved Pilates mat course plus completion of the PHI Pilates on-line Intro To Pilates Anatomy course or Intro To Pilates Mat Home Study for admission into this course.
